DQ Core doubles as your point of sale. Build an order against a table's tab, then track it through the kitchen or bar until it's delivered.
Placing an order attaches it to that table's booking and adds it to the tab. Placing orders is available to most floor roles — Owners, Managers, Hosts, Waiters, Runners, and Bar/Dispense staff — since most of the team needs to take orders at some point.
The Orders tab is the kitchen/bar view: every active order, grouped by where it's up to.
Pending → Preparing → Ready → Delivered
Moving an order forward through these stages is handled by Owners, Managers, Runners, and Bar/Dispense staff — the roles focused on fulfilment. Waiters and Hosts can place orders but don't move them along the board.
Opening a single order shows its full line-by-line breakdown, current status, and who placed it and last touched it. Nothing is ever summarised away — the complete history of every order line is kept, so you can always see exactly what was ordered and when.
A complete list of past orders is available to Owners and Managers — useful for reconciling a shift after the fact.
Orders themselves never settle money — they simply add to the table's tab total. Payments are what actually settle the bill (see the Payments guide), and a tab can't be closed while it's unpaid.
An order vanished right after placing it. You may not have permission to place orders on your account — check with a manager.
Can't move an order along the board. Moving orders is limited to Owners, Managers, Runners, and Bar/Dispense staff.
Order history looks empty or is missing. It's only visible to Owners and Managers.
